In the modern era, hypnosis was developed and refined by various pioneers, such as Franz Mesmer, James Braid, Milton Erickson, and Dave Elman. Hypnosis was accepted by the American Medical Association in 1958.

Hypnosis is not a natural state of mind. False. Hypnosis is a very natural state of mind, similar to daydreaming, meditation, or being absorbed in a book or a movie. You enter hypnosis several times a day, without even realizing it.

Hypnosis is not safe. False. Hypnosis is very safe, and no one has ever been hurt by hypnosis. Hypnosis is not a form of mind control, and you cannot be forced to do anything against your will. You are always in control, and you can choose to accept or reject any suggestion.

You can get stuck in hypnosis. False. You cannot get stuck in hypnosis, and this has never happened to anyone. The worst-case scenario is that you fall asleep, and you will wake up naturally when you are ready.

Hypnosis is a state of unconsciousness. False. Hypnosis is a state of focused consciousness, where you are more aware of your inner world and less aware of your outer world. You are not asleep, and you can hear everything that is said to you.

The wording of “Sleep” in hypnosis means close your eyes and go deeply relaxed as if you are asleep. True. The word “sleep” in hypnosis is a metaphor that means to relax deeply and enter hypnosis. It does not mean to fall asleep literally, although some people may do so if they are very tired.

It directly leads to self-acceptance.  “I am not enough”  limiting belief keeps you away from the desired life you are dreaming about.  This is the cause of low self-esteem, self-doubt, perfectionism, negative self-talk, criticism, and comparing yourself with others.  The outcome of overcoming this limiting belief would be that you will recognize your worth and capabilities. You will become more resistant in the face of challenges and setbacks. You will be better equipt to bounce back from failure and persevere in pursuing your goals. You will improve your personal and professional relationships. You will be able to form connections based on mutual respect rather than seeking constant validation from others. A: There are some conditions or situations that may make hypnotherapy contraindicated, meaning that it should be avoided or used with caution. Some of the common contraindications for hypnotherapy are:

A: During your session, you will enter a deep state of relaxation, where your conscious mind can relax and your subconscious mind can become more receptive to positive suggestions. You will still be in control and aware of what is happening, but you will also be able to access deeper levels of your mind.

A: Your first session will last up to two hours, as we will go through a detailed consultation and assessment. Subsequent sessions may be shorter, depending on your needs and progress.

 

Q: How many sessions will I need?

A: Most problems can be resolved in a single session of two hours. However, some situations may need up to three sessions. I will provide you with ongoing support, including a recording that will help you consolidate and apply the learnings from your session.

Q: How much does the therapy cost?

A: The price of your therapy will vary depending on your specific needs: please get in touch with me to talk about them and learn more.

A session lasts for two hours, and any extra time on your first session will be billed at half the rate.

Q: How can I pay for the therapy?

A: You can pay with a Visa or Mastercard.

Q: What if I miss or cancel an appointment?

A: I appreciate that sometimes things come up, and you may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Please let me know as soon as you can.

If you cancel 48 hours before the appointment, you will be charged 30% of the fee, 24 hours before, the charge will be 50% of the fee.

Missed appointments will be charged at 100% of the fee.

Q: Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?

A: Before your session, please think about the issues that you want to work on and the desired outcome, and be ready to embrace positive change. You will also need to sign the “Informed consent to participate in a hypnosis session” form, which you can download below. 

 

If you are an online client, you will need to provide an emergency contact, such as your doctor or a close friend/relative, who can be reached in case of any technical or medical issues during the session.
